Come hear the Bloomfield Civic Band’s inaugural concert, “The Winds of Autumn, Sounds of the Season: Classic and Contemporary Pieces for Wind Band” on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the Bloomfield Middle School on Huck Road in Bloomfield. Once again Director Frank Ortega is filling the program with a variety of beautiful, stirring pieces.

  • Robert Russell Bennett’s “Suite of Old American Dances”
  • Frank Ticheli’s “Cajun Folk Dances”
  • Eric Whitacre’s “October”
  • Eric Osterling’s “Beguine for Flutes”

The program will also feature some fun stuff to get your toes tapping, including Kenneth J. Alford’s march, “The Mad Major.” We hope to see you there!

If you are a band musician looking for a place to play, why not sit in on a rehearsal? We welcome musicians of all skill levels. We rehearse Monday evenings, 7:30–9:30 p.m., almost always at the Bloomfield Middle School. (On some school holidays we rehearse in another facility.) Visit our Contact page and get in touch with Frank Ortega if you would like to learn more about us.
