Memorial Day Thoughts from the Bloomfield Civic Band

Memorial Day observances pay tribute to the women and men of America’s armed forces who gave their lives in the conduct of their duties. Music, especially band music, often supports and solemnizes those observances. Although the Bloomfield Civic Band as an organization is not participating in Memorial Day observances this year, individual members of the band will take part in ceremonies and parades in several towns and cities in northern New Jersey.

The Bloomfield Civic Band wishes you a peaceful and uplifting Memorial Day observance, especially if you have relatives or friends who made the ultimate sacrifice in our nation’s service.
