2011 Bloomfield Federation of Music Hall of Fame Inductee: Richard Abate

Richard Abate is Retouching Manager and Retoucher at Graphic Systems Group in NYC. In addition to this, Richard is an Adjunct Professor at CUNY Brooklyn NY, where he teaches Digital Photography and Color Theory. Over the years Richard has worked on and designed CD/ Album covers for such notable artists as Billy Joel, Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones,  Roger Waters and Wynton Marsalis.

Presently, Richard works on all graphics and concepts for Abercrombie and Fitch, mainly focusing on the Hollister brand. In addition to playing the trumpet, Richard has composed several musical pieces that have been used on Public television, one of which is for KCPT’s Sports review program.
